| Due to illness, Pablo Heras Casado had to cancel the two guest concerts with the Gstaad Festival Orchestra and the soloists Khatia Buniatishvili (piano) and Sol Gabetta (violoncello) on 19 and 20 August. At short notice, David Afkham was engaged for the concert on Thursday, 19 August and Elim Chan for the concert on Friday, 20 August. Afkham is Chief Conductor of the Spanish National Orchestra Madrid and Guest Conductor with renowned orchestras such as the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra or the Concertgebouw Orchestra. Elim Chan is Principal Conductor of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and Guest Conductor with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. |
